Who says Defense doesn't win games?
What a home opener!
The girls took the ice today for our first home game of the year against SPFHA Yellow and neither team disappointed. Backed by solid goaltending and an overall urgency to get to the puck, our girls came out victorious for the third straight game.
With each game we play, the girls are grasping the need to spread out and move the puck more and more. It was great to see the girls skating back to play defense as hard, if not harder then they were while carrying the puck. Our solid back check and a few goals at key moments, complimented with some very big saves was the recipe for success this evening!
On to our next game tomorrow verse Chatham-Kent Black.
