John Golden Dedication Award
Submitted By ADMIN on Wed 08 24, 22
At our AGM this past April an award was created in John Golden's honour for all of his years of dedication to girls hockey with South County Predators and in Essex County. John is currently serving as the President of the Essex Kent Interlock Girls Hockey League and in the past served as South County Predators representative on the boy's board before they separated and then as the first president of SCPGHA. John along with the help of a few others got SCPGHA standing on its own and where it is today.

It was discussed about creating an award that could be given to Mr. Golden as the first recipient to recognize his contributions to girls hockey in the area. In this conversation we wondered if that said enough, and we didn't think it did so instead of giving him the award we decided to name it after him so generations to come will know how important and essential John was to our association.

The John Golden Dedication award was presented that night to it's first recipient Tony VanNoggeren for his years of dedication to South County Predators. Tony has served a vital role on our board as Treasurer since the boards inception.
