Predators Invade WFCU Centre
Submitted By Amacleod on Wednesday, March 28, 2018
The South County Predators Girls Hockey Association invaded the WFCU Centre by qualifying eight out of nine teams for the Day of Champions that took place on March 25, 2018.

The South County Harrow Atom Yellow team sponsored by Godfather’s Pizza played in the Tier 1 championship game but fell 4-0 to a solid Essex Thunder team.

In the Peewee division we had all three teams qualify. In the Tier 1 division, the South County Amherstburg Peewee Yellow team sponsored by Amy’s Helping Hands defeated the South County Kingsville Peewee Blue team  sponsored by Kingsville Home Hardware by a score of 1-0 in a game that went to overtime.
In the Tier 2 championship game South County Harrow Peewee White team sponsored by Harrow Home Hardware defeated the Kent County Fillies by a score of 4-1.

In the Bantam Tier 1 Championship game, our South County Amherstburg Bantam team sponsored by Brook’s Photo came up short in a shootout, falling 2-1 to the Lasalle Sabrecats.

In the Tier 2 Bantam Championship game, the South County Kingsville Bantam team sponsored by Libro Community Credit Union defeated the Tecumseh Tigercats 3-0.

In the Intermediate Tier 3 championship game, the South County Harrow Intermediate Yellow team sponsored by Harrow Rotary  defeated the South County Harrow Intermediate Blue team sponsored by Renaud Ford & RV by a score of 3-2.

The only teams not competing in the Day of Champions was the South County Harrow Atom Blue sponsored by Buckingham Realty.  They had a good season finishing third overall for the atoms and narrowly missing the playoffs.

Our South County Novice team had a fun day at Harrow Arena and they were sponsored by Priscilla’s Presents.

It was a great end to a great season.  All of our players should be very proud of their accomplishments and the improvements they made as individuals and as teams.  Special thanks to all Coaches, Trainers, Managers and Parents for making this season so much fun and successful.

See you in September!
