SCPGHA is a growing hockey organization and we believe that all girls who are interested in playing hockey should be allowed and able to play. We want all girls of all skill levels to join and we believe that finances should not be a barrier to enjoying the game of hockey. There are a variety of programs available to help offset the cost of playing hockey. Most are needs based and require an application. SCPGHA does not directly subsidize any players to play for the organization but will work with parties to secure funding from outside organizations. Below is a list of available programs one can choose to apply for: Grindstone Award Foundation The Grindstone Award Foundation is an official Registered Canadian Charity that enables young female players the opportunity to participate and improve their skill development in the sport of hockey. They provide financial support to young female hockey players who have the desire to play but are unable to for financial reasons.
