Trainer Roles, Responsibilities & Requirements

The main role of the hockey trainer as outlined in the HTCP Level One Certification is to ensure that safety is the main priority on and off ice. SCPGHA will support the trainer role with educational resources, safety kit supplies and any other related items as deemed necessary or as identified by both the trainer and SCPGHA.  SCPGHA will require the trainer to adhere to all outlined safety requirement policies and procedures and ensure documentation is provided where needed.

Certification must exist prior to the accepted trainer position or no later than prior to the first on ice scheduled practice.
