
About Us
The South County Predators Girls Hockey Association (SCPGHA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of girls' hockey in the communities of Amherstburg, Harrow, Kingsville, and surrounding areas. We operate as a member of the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) under the authority of Hockey Canada.

Governance
Our organization is guided by the following foundational documents:
History of South County Predators
· September 22, 1970: The first Executive meeting is held, and plans are made for registration, with a fee of $5.00 per player.
· December 4, 1970: The first games are played at the Tri-Community Arena in Amherstburg, with 120 players between the ages of 5 and 15 years.
· January 8, 1971: The second season opens at the new Harrow & Colchester South Arena, with registration numbering 240 players.
· 1972-73: The first full season is played on home ice.
· March 12, 2010: Dean Martin suggests the name “South County Girls” for the team, with the plan that Amherst would have “South County Stars” and Harrow would have “South County Rams” on their sweaters.
· May 14, 2010: The Harrow board approves the name “South County Girls.”
· August 10, 2010: Laura Reid applies to the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) for official approval of the name.
· 2011-12: Harrow and Colchester South Minor Hockey Association (HCSMHA) and Kingsville Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) merge their travel programs to form Erie North Shore Minor Hockey Association (ENSMHA).
· Fall 2012: Kingsville girls start playing hockey.
· November 2015: A competition is held to select a nickname for the South County Girls, and the "Predators" logo is chosen.
· September 2016: The team adopts the "Preds" uniforms, solidifying their identity as the South County Predators.
· 2016-17: At the end of the season, South County Predators Girls Hockey Association (SCPGHA) separates from Harrow & Colchester South Minor Hockey Association of the Erie North Shore Minor Hockey Association to focus solely on running South County Predators Girls Hockey.
